Hello All,
I've been doing some searching on trying to satisfy my goal, but can't come to a clear solution. I'm trying to pool all my disk drives like Windows 2012 Storage spaces but on ESXi. VSAN looks like extreme overkill as I only have 1 ESXi Host machine and on that machine I have all the disks since they are all local since I only have a 1GB cat 6 network.
My setup is pretty simple
Xeon E3-1230
32GB ram
7 HD's of various sizes
1TB SSD
LSI Raid/SAS controller but no raid array since all disks are different sizes.
5x1GB nics
Is there any VMware solutions that will let me pool my local drives into one large virtual disk?
Meaning I will have my 7HDD's showing up at one large virtual disk (like the application Drivepool for windows)?
Any help would be appreciated.
