Hi all,

We have a vSphere infraestructure ESXi 4.1; there is a two node cluster, managed by a vCenter 4.1.(Physical server)

I need to upgrade to ESXi 5.1, and this is my Idea.

-Stop the services of the actual vCenter 4.1 (Physical server).

-Create a Virtual machine in node A, that contains a vCenter 5.1.

-Create a new cluster with the two ESXi 4.1 nodes, managed by the vCenter5.1.

-Upgrade Node B to ESXi 5.1.

-Move vCenter to Node B.

-Upgrade Node A to ESXi 5.1.

Do you think i will have any problems?

I want a new vCenter for two reasons; i want a Virtual vCenter, not Physical, i think is more easy that upgrade the actual vCenter and convert afterwards to virtual machine.

Thank you very much.
