RAID Monitoring withLSI SAS3080X (1068) (works in 4.1 but not in 5.x)

I have recently upgraded an old HP ML310 G4 with an LSI SAS3080X (1068?) from ESXi 4.1 and need to know if it is possible to monitor the RAID health on ESXi 5.x remotely and without rebooting the server.  The RAID would show up in ESXi 4.1 under Configuration > Health, but not under 5.x.  I've tried loading a bunch of the HP Offline bundles, but they didn't help.  I couldn't find any CIM providers for a 1068 controller on LSI's website and I'm not too familiar with LSI controllers, so any help would be appreciated. If this controller cannot be monitored, is there a (cheap) LSI controller that could replace the current one and take over the array without wiping/reconfiguring it?  In this case, write caching is not required, so I don't need anything with BBWC.
