Upgrade from ESX 5.0 to 5.1 causing vCenter network unreachable

I have few esxi 5.0 servers connected to vCenter residing on another network. After the upgrade, hosts are not able to connect to vCenter network 10.251.36.0/24 anymore. There are other remote networks represented by static routes that I can connect to. It is just the vCenter network on which I cannot access any IPs

After troubleshooting it a little bit I noticed that the traceroute on upgraded esxi 5.1 uses misterious first hop being 192.168.121.1 but I don't have any vmkernel ports that belong to that network.

Here's a screenshot of successful ping to vCenter server prior to upgrade to 5.1:

...and after the upgrade to 5.1:

ACLs are correct, upgraded host can reach its gw 10.241.1.1 for 10.251.36.0 network but yet nothing is accessible on that network from the host.

Any ideas? This is really a weird issue that I've never seen before.
