Hi, I was experiencing the "purple screen" passthru problem in esx 5.1 and I installed the above patch, recommended to solve this problem. After the installation, all my network drivers vanished and I was unable also to access vmfs3, too. My esxi server became an expensive brick...
I reinstalled everything, applied trhe patch and reinstalled the network drivers. When I did that, the esxi had a problem in the boot and never started again ...
My machine is based on Intel DZ77BH-55k and i5-2400 and I'm trying hard to use esxi 5.1 with passthru. I'm almost moving to use Fedora as host and forget about all the passthru and network drivers problems !!!
Any clue?
